An original manga one-shot based on Urban Myth Dissolution Center, Case File: Kunekune, will appear in Jump+ on February 13, 2025. The Kunekune is an urban legend that first started on the Internet, similar to the Slender Man mythos. First appearing in 2001 on 2ch, the Kunekune is a slender, white humanoid shape that wriggles its limbs. That’s how it got the name “Kunekune,” as it’s a word for wiggling or twisting. Those in Japan can also visit the Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara or bookstores around the country to participate in special events or get exclusive goods. Bookstores will offer an original bookmark if you spend over 1000 JPY and show them the campaign image. You’ll randomly get one of six designs. This campaign will run from February 13 to March 9, 2025. Meanwhile, Yodobashi Camera will hold multiple events, like a photo spot, exhibitions recreating scenes from the game, and a mystery solving event.
