The past is a dangerous place to be in Surface season 2 trailer
The Apple TV+ thriller stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Millie Brady.
It's time to refresh your memories of Surface. The Apple TV+ thriller follows a woman, Sophie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who suffers a traumatic brain injury that leaves her unable to remember her past. You might feel similarly going into season two, as the series' first installment aired all the way back in July 2022. Luckily, there's a new trailer to jog your memory of who some of these characters are.
The season's synopsis isn't being held under shadowy lock and key by the British aristocracy either. You can read it right here:
Set in a whole new world, this new chapter of Surface follows Sophie (Mbatha-Raw) to London to unravel the secrets of her past. Having suffered an injury that robbed her of her memories, Sophie follows the few clues she has, using her vast stolen resources to embed herself in elite British society, and discovering a possible connection to a beautiful heiress. But everything changes when a journalist contacts her out of the blue, and Sophie realizes they were working together to expose a shocking scandal about the dangerous people she’s now become close to…
That scandal has something to do with Sophie's mother, as well as British heiress Eliza Huntley (Millie Brady), who we met last season. Season two also sees the return of Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Sophie's husband James, as well as new stars in Phil Dunster, Gavin Drea, Rupert Graves, Tara Fitzgerald, Nina Sosanya, Joely Richardson, and Freida Pinto.
The first episode of season two airs February 21 on Apple TV+. Make sure you don't forget.
