Teaser Trailer: FX’s “Alien: Earth” Series

Hot on the heels of this morning’s poster, FX Networks and Hulu have released a new 30-second teaser trailer for its “Alien: Earth” TV series, which will launch this Summer – a specific date has not yet been set.

Titled ‘Destination’, the TV spot is more of a ‘concept’ trailer as it gives us a Xenomorph POV. In it, the creature busts out of captivity onboard an Earth spacecraft that is falling to Earth. It careens around the walls as alarms are blaring, and a Sigourney Weaver-esque voice repeats “Containment Breach”.

The camera then pulls out of a porthole to show the ship spiralling out of control and burning as it enters the upper atmosphere. The familiar noises from “Alien,” previously used in marketing material for “Prometheus,” appear here again.

The series hails from “Fargo” and “Legion” creator Noah Hawley and begins when a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth. A young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.

As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors in the wreckage, they encounter mysterious, predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival, and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.

Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Timothy Olyphant, Kit Young, Adarsh Gourav, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Sandra Yi Sencindiver and Moe Bar-El co-star in the series, which takes place just two years before the events of “Alien”.
