According to Charania, the move created additional roster and salary cap flexibility for Memphis.
Also involved are the Sacramento Kings, who will receive wing Jake LaRavia from the Grizzlies. The Kings will send guard Colby Jones and centre Alex Len to the Wizards while the Grizzlies will pocked a 2028 second-rounder, NBA insider Marc Stein reported.
Additionally, the Wizards are sending centre Marvin Bagley III and guard Johnny Davis to the Grizzlies, according to Charania.

In those 19 games, the 30-year-old averaged 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.1 minutes per game.
The former Boston Celtics standout is on the books for $20.2 million this season and $21.6 million in 2025-26.
