Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan (“Loki,” “Everything Everywhere All At Once”) and Lili Reinhart (“Riverdale,” “Hustlers”) are set to star in the high-concept horror feature “Bad Boy”.
Travis Braun’s script for the film topped the Black List in late 2023 and follows a young woman’s fight to escape a deadly serial killer. What makes this unique is that this unfolds from the perspective of the killer’s best friend – his faithful dog Gary.
Gary is a good boy who loves his new owner, Cameron (Quan). He gets treats and belly rubs and life is great. Gary isn’t allowed in the basement though. And even if he was, he can’t unlock doors.
But there’s a girl (Reinhart) in the basement. And she can’t come out to play. Gary doesn’t know it, but he’s her only chance.
Dave Caplan (“Longlegs”), Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath (“M3gan”) will produce. Filming is due to start in August in Canada.
Braun has made it onto the Black List for the last three years running and topped it twice, the other time being last year with “One Night Only” which already has Olive Bridge attached to produce.
