Natasha Lyonne Hints Her Fantastic Four Character May Be A Voice Role

Actress Natasha Lyonne hints in a recent interview that her unnamed Fantastic Four character may be a voice role. So far, whilst officially cast in the film, Lyonne’s character has never been announced. The fans have so far been torn between Alicia Masters and the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E. Those are of course not the only possibilities, just the best guesses of the fanbase.

If Lyonne truly is hinting here that her part is a voice role, it would lend more weight to the H.E.R.B.I.E. theory. Check out what she had to say when she spoke to Vanity Fair.

“I’m very moved that they want me to be in that movie. It is all very interstellar-type stuff, coming at it from different directions. I’m also in the Smurfs movie, and actually some stuff does happen that’s… I don’t want to get into it, because I’ll get in trouble. But assuming that I’m dead by 8:45 p.m. tonight and they have to cut the movies together in a mash-up, it will all marry well, I think.”

We can of course be quite confident Lyonne’s role in Smurfs is not live-action, but a voice role. Whether that involves any motion capture or not, who knows? However, this news does make me think if I had to place a bet, then my money would be on H.E.R.B.I.E. Though, I’d rather not take the bet at all. 

It may be that we will have to wait till much closer to release for the identity of Lyonne’s character. It really just depends what is in the trailers and what is released to the press officially when promotion begins.
