At its Chinese New Year open house event today, Lotus Cars Malaysia (LCM) revealed it sold over 200 units of the Eletre SUV and 20 units of the Emira sports car last year.
Referring to the road transport department’s (JPJ) vehicle registration data, 214 units of the Eletre were registered in 2024, while it was 20 units for the Emira. The Emeya, which was launched later in the year in August alongside the Emira Turbo (renamed from the Emira i4), saw eight registrations.
By comparison, JPJ data showed just nine units of the Eletre were registered in 2023, while the Emira notched up 20 registrations. As such, registrations of the Eletre increased by over 20 times in the electric vehicle’s (EV) first full year of sales following its April 2023 launch.
