Jaden Smith's Grammy Castle Headpiece Retails for $4,600 USD

The Grammys brings a broad range of artists together for one night to celebrate a year in music. Amongst one of the attendees is Jaden Smith. Always known for his bold fashion choices, the 26-year-old artist rocked a custom Louis Vuitton suit in black, featuring a classic white button down and a black tie to pair with it. While sleek and elegant, it was his headpiece that made headlines.Rounding out the ensemble, Jaden paired his all-black suit with a custom-made vampire house headpiece designed by Dora Abodi of Abodi Transylvania. The brand took to Instagram to reveal the meaning behind the mysterious piece, "We custom made the castle for his red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards. The artistic combines the mysterious elegance of ABODI Transylvania with a bold, modern design inspired by Transylvanian history and the vampire legends of the Bathori." In another caption, the brand explained, "The now famous ABODI Transylvania Vampire Castle serves as a symbol of audacity, fortitude, and an embrace of folklore and legends. It functions as a medium to recall one’s childhood and to retain a sense of playfulness and borderless creativity in relation to shapes, fabrics, concepts, colours, textures, fashion, and art. Furthermore, it facilitates the establishment of creative partnerships and the cultivation of individuals who serve as sources of inspiration and motivation. ABODI, as an art and fashion forward project, has always represented more than a mere fashion brand; it is a designation that bears the family name, and a space where like-minded creatives can congregate."The headpiece, made by ABODI Transylvania in collaboration with artist Szilveszter Makó, was most notably worn by Czech model and actress Eva Herzigova on the cover of Numéro magazine. In a 2016 interview with the publication, Smith had once said, "During a period of my life, I was Gothic. I was only wearing black and I was hiding from the sun because I was a vampire. I was a vampire, for real. Now I’m not a vampire, I’m out of this phase." As per the brand's website, the headpiece goes for about $4,630 USD.
