Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new 30-second TV spot for James Gunn’s “Superman” film. Though primarily just a recut of the teaser, there are a few scant new seconds of footage.
The new clips primarily show Nic Hoult’s Lex Luthor in his high-vis sunglasses in a snowy locale, and then an extended version of the clip of Superman flying in the ice shown in the teaser’s teaser – this time, though, we see David Corenswet’s Superman flying and smiling.
It’s not clear when the next trailer will arrive, a Superbowl spot is possible but more likely will be sometime closer to Easter.
The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
“Superman” stars Corenswet as Clark Kent/The Man of Steel, Hoult as Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.
Filming on the movie wrapped in July and is proceeding through post-production smoothly. Check out the new “Superman” TV spot below, the film is set to fly into cinemas on July 11th 2025.
