Honda Revamps Logo For 2026 EV Line
At CES 2025 Honda unveiled the “0 Saloon” and “0 SUV,” two EV prototypes from its 2026 0 Series. Along with the new sleek models coming down the pipeline, Honda quietly revealed its first major logo change since 1981.Both the “0 Saloon” and “0 SUV" show a reimagined "H" emblem on their hoods, appearing wider and forgoing the box that frames the current emblem. However, the updated emblem is not so new after all, as it appears to be a simplified version of Honda's first H emblem introduced in 1961.Before the 60s-era logo, which was used until 1969, Honda's classic wing logo from 1947 decorated the manufacturer's vehicles in various styles. In 1981 the familiar rounded square containing a taller "H" came into circulation, an icon still used by Honda in the present.Along with the revamped brand identity, a futuristic sans-serif "Honda" wordmark was displayed on the back of a prototype shown at CES 2025. As Honda continues to share details about its forthcoming EVs, a closer look at the automaker's new visuals is likely to surface soon.However, Honda is not the only auto-brand tweaking its brand identity for the EV revolution. Audi's China-exclusive EVs replace the German brand's interlocked circle logo with a sans-serif "AUDI" word mark and Jaguar recently unveiled a bold brand overhaul, which was met with mixed reactions.As of the time of writing, Honda has not provided an official release date for the 0 Series EVs, however, one can expect distribution to begin in 2026.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
