‘Get a load’ – Tyreek Hill claps back at Noah Lyles after 100m Olympic champion reignites feud with provocative post race message
Noah Lyles has made clear who he wants to race next. The Olympic sprinting champion used his recent win at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston to call out NFL superstar Tyreek Hill. Noah Lyles directly addressed Tyreek Hill after his recent race win Lyles called out the receiver after winning the 60m sprint, his first top-level race since the Paris Olympics. The Olympic champion crossed the finish line in 6.52 seconds, beating out the Bahamas’ Terrence Jones, Italy’s Marcell Jacobs and fellow Americans P.J. Austin and Trayvon Bromell. After crossing the finish line, Lyles took his bib off his back and revealed a message saying: “Tyreek Could Never.” The 27-year-old then told NBC Sports exactly what he wants from the Dolphins star. “When you’re ready to actually put some words down and you’re actually ready to race, see me,” Lyles said. “I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. But all I know is, your football season’s over. You ain’t got no excuse now.” It didn’t take long for Hill to respond saying “Get a load of this guy,” on social media above a post about Lyles’ challenge. This is not the first time the pair have feuded with each other – this is just the latest development in a back-and-fourth that began back in August. “Sign the contract and lock in that 50 yard race,” Hill posted last summer after Lyles claimed the Dolphins star was just chasing clout over a proposed race. “The man dodges smoke,” Lyles told Shannon Sharpe about Hill. @cheetah via xNoah Lyles won Gold at the recent Paris Olympics[/caption] Tyreek Hill is considered the fastest player in the NFLGetty “I don’t got time for that. . . . If he’s serious about it, if truly serious about it — I’m not talking about you just talking on the Internet and you ain’t actually coming to me and talking to my agent.” Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert told Fox News Digital that he believes his teammates including Hill could hold their own in a race against Lyles. “I feel like we all could run with him,” Mostert said of Lyles. “And I know that Noah Lyles brought up the fact that he would race Tyreek in a 60-yard dash or something like that. Or whatever the case may be. I feel like we all could run that 60-yard dash.” Hill has ran track before. In 2023, he ran 60m at the 2023 USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships in 6.70 seconds in his first race meet in nine years. Lyles, 27, won the 60m at the 2024 USATF Indoor Championships in a personal best 6.43. Whether the pair ever face-off remains to be seen, but there is no doubt a race between Lyles and Hill would sell tickets and attract serious eye balls.
