Gatting, Frey, and Bovy continue with Iron Dames in Michelin Endurance Cup

Iron Dames has named Michelle Gatting, Rahel Frey, and Sarah Bovy as its drivers for the remaining IMSA GTD Michelin Endurance Cup rounds, driving the No.83 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The familiar trio has raced together for most of the last four years in the FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series. Bovy, Frey, and Gatting made history in 2023 by becoming the first all-female driver crew to win a WEC round at the 2023 8 Hours of Bahrain.

They have also raced together in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship since 2023, recording a best finish of sixth in class at the 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona.

For the 2025 racing season, Bovy’s FIA Driver Categorization was upgraded from Bronze to Silver, meaning that the Belgian driver could not continue to race with fellow Silver Frey and Gold-graded Gatting in the WEC and European Le Mans Series.

There is no Bronze driver mandate in IMSA GTD however – which allows Gatting, Frey, and Bovy to continue to compete together for class honors at Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, and Road Atlanta.

Together with IMSA debutant Karen Gaillard, Iron Dames finished eighth in class at Daytona two weeks ago, after coming back from a puncture and damaged splitter overnight.
