Deadpool And Wolverine Will Next Appear In Avengers: Doomsday | Barside Buzz

Some Marvel Barside Buzz claims that Deadpool and Wolverine will next both appear in Avengers: Doomsday within the MCU. The news comes from Daniel RPK on Patreon who says he’s heard both of the leads of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie will be back for Avengers: Doomsday.

Honestly, I doubt anyone would be too surprised that Marvel wants to get these two into Doomsday. Given how successful Deadpool & Wolverine was for an R-rated movie it makes sense, financially. Yet, for me, I’m not sure Deadpool works in an ensemble movie that’s not about him, or pure comedy. I guess I remain to be convinced that the character can work in the big Avengers movies tonally. Wolverine of course I’d have no issues with at all.

I just want Doomsday (and Secret Wars) to be a good movie. I’m just not the biggest fan of Deadpool as regular readers will know. So, yeah I’m gonna reserve judgement on this decision if true. Truthfully though, I think it makes too much sense financially not to do this for Marvel, so I’m resigned to hoping they pull it off instead.

Am I wrong on this one? If I am, please feel free to tell me I’m crazy and it’ll all be great in the comments below. I just cannot get the splinter out of my minds eye that this won’t work tonally. Therefore, all that’s left to say is, good luck Russos! I think you may need it.
