“Bosch” Star To Lead “Equalizer” Spin-Off

After a decade of playing Harry Bosch over on Amazon, Titus Welliver is taking on a new leading man character for TV.

Welliver and Juani Feliz (“Harlem”) have reportedly landed the two lead roles in CBS’ planned spinoff of the Queen Latifah-led procedural “The Equalizer”.

The two new characters will be introduced in the sixteenth episode of the fifth season with the actors guest starring. The new episode will not be a backdoor pilot, merely an introduction of the characters.

The two actors have also scored series regular options to anchor their own potential spinoff should it move forward.

Welliver will play Hudson Reed, a former top CIA operative with a dark secret who is connected to Robin McCall (Queen Latifah) by an old mentor.

Feliz will play Samantha Reed, a weapons expert, skilled martial artist and true chameleon with a mysterious past and daddy issues. Joseph C. Wilson is writing the episode and will serve as executive producer on the potential new series.

The episode in question will air in the Spring.
