Aspire strengthens premium lounge offering with opening of OP Lounge at Helsinki Airport

FINLAND. Aspire Executive Lounges, operated by Swissport, has unveiled the OP Lounge at Helsinki Airport.

Finavia SVP, Helsinki Airport Ulla Serlenius said: “We are delighted to welcome the OP Lounge to Helsinki Airport. The growing popularity of lounge spaces and services among travellers is an international phenomenon, and we have invested in their development at Helsinki Airport as well.
“The OP Lounge is located in the most central part of the terminal, close to gates and services, and it is an excellent addition to the lounge offerings at Helsinki Airport, enhancing the world-class passenger experience.”
The OP Lounge expands Aspire Executive Lounge’s portfolio and was designed in collaboration with OP Financial Group.
Swissport International CEO of Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa & India and Global Cargo Chair Dirk Goovaerts added: “We are excited to collaborate with OP Financial Group to offer a new lounge experience for their customers and travellers at Helsinki Airport.”
The new OP Lounge is located in the post-security departure gate area, featuring 180 seats and expansive views of the runways.
Private meeting rooms are also available for business travellers.
The lounge’s design and culinary offerings showcase Finnish culture, with warm breakfast and lunch options made from locally sourced ingredients.
OP Everyday Banking Services Director Masa Peura said: “At OP, we have invested significantly in the development of our card services in recent years. In particular, the travel insurance and lounge services included in the cards have been widely used and appreciated by our customers.
“OP wants to offer additional value and convenience to its cardholders when travelling. With our own lounge, we can positively impact the customer experience of OP’s customers.”
The lounge is accessible to OP Gold and OP Platinum cardholders, frequent flyers of partner airlines, and travellers who purchase access.
Helsinki Airport’s lounge services will expand with the renovation and reopening of the Aspire Lounge at gate 27 in the spring.
