Players seem to have unearthed at least one announcement coming in the rumored February 2025 PlayStation State of Play. Sony has yet to announce this month’s event, but reliable insiders have indicated that the State of Play will take place sometime next week, possibly on Thursday, February 13.
February 2025 PlayStation State of Play’s biggest announcement hinted at
From the looks of it, we’ll finally have a release date for timed PS5 exclusive, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Hideo Kojima has been teasing a new trailer for one of his upcoming games on X, and as fans have pointed out, he tends to do this before an event. Indeed Kojima has published similar tweets ahead of State of Play events in the past. But it gets better…
Shortly afterwards, Death Stranding 2 was rated in South Korea, which sometimes happens ahead of release date announcements. We wouldn’t have put much stock into Kojima’s tweets if fans hadn’t discovered the fresh listing on Korean rating board’s website.
I think fans are onto something here. A Death Stranding 2 release date announcement and new trailer sound like something Sony would save for a State of Play.
