“Agatha All Along” Won’t Get A Season 2?

Broadway legend Patti LuPone has revealed that Marvel Studios’ “Agatha All Along” likely won’t be getting a second season.

LuPone played Lilia Calderu in the first season and recently appeared on the Sirius XM podcast series Andy Cohen Live.

Speaking about her time in the role (via The Wrap), she recounted how showrunner Jac Schaffer revealed the fate of her character.

In that exchange during production, a telling remark came, which is why when Cohen asks about a potential second season LuPone said:

“There won’t be one. Jac Schaeffer, the creator, came into my trailer and she said, ‘Patti, I’m just here to tell you that Lilia’s going to die,’ and I went, ‘But I wanted a second season.’ [Schaffer] said, ‘I don’t do second seasons’. She said, ‘They wanted me to do a second season of WandaVision and I didn’t.’ She said, ‘There’s too much to write,’ so she does one-offs and I’m really hoping and praying that someday I get to work with her again because she’s magic.”

Marvel and Schaffer have not responded to the comments as yet. Back in November, Schaffer was asked about a potential second season and said it was possible but added: “Just right now there’s nothing I can report about that.”

The upcoming “VisionQuest” series from showrunner Terry Matalas is rumored to be “the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along” so even if the show doesn’t return, the characters might. “VisionQuest” is heading into production this year.
