15 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

LARRY JUNE, 2 CHAINZ & THE ALCHEMIST – “I BEEN”

Last week, Larry June, 2 Chainz, and The Alchemist put out a great song called “Bad Choices.” Today they put out another great one, and the trio also announced that they’ve got a whole collaborative album, Life Is Beautiful, due out next week (2/7).

ASTROPICAL (BOMBA ESTÉREO, RAWAYANA) – “ME PASA (PISCIS)”

Colombian artists Bomba Estereo and Venezuelan band Rawayana have formed a supergroup named ASTROPICA. “ASTROPICAL embodies an energy that already preceded us and needed to materialize,” says Bomba Estereo’s Li Saumet. “This is a very important time on a political, cultural and environmental level. We need melodies and lyrics such as these ones as a way of shepherding the moment. This band has invigorated me, and inspired me to make more music.” Here’s ASTROPICAL first single.

FREE RANGE – “HARDLY”

Free Range, aka Chicago musician Sofia Jensen, will release new album Lost & Found on March 28 via Mick Music. Here’s the pretty first single.

DESIRE – “THE JUDGE”

“In the age of omnipresent surveillance…Machines track our every move while friends stalk our every groove,” Desire say of their new single. “Take matters into your own hands…be the judge & jury of your own timeline. Life is too short, so forget the lurkers & love the jerkers. Time is running out & court is now adjourned.” Desire, featuring Johnny Jewel and Megan Louise, will release new album Games People Play will be out March 21 via Italians Do It Better.

SKAIWATER – “POP”

Skaiwater stirred up a lot of buzz for last year’s #Gigi, and now the rapper/producer is back with another heavily auto-tuned, post-SoundCloud rap song, “Pop.”

LUH TYLER – “FLORIDA BOY”

The young Florida rapper Luh Tyler’s first single of 2025 is a reggae-infused trap song called “Florida Boy.”

INHUMAN NATURE – “POSSESSED TO DIE”

UK thrashers Inhuman Nature have announced a new album, Greater Than Death, due April 25 via Church Road, and here’s the beastly lead single.

MARES OF THRACE – “THE SECOND STAGE: DENIAL”

After returning in 2022 with their first album in 10 years, The Exile, Canadian doom/sludge duo Mares of Thrace are now set to release another one, The Loss, on May 16 via Artoffact Records. The first taste is a dose of caustic, ten-ton sludge, “The Second Stage: Denial.”

ERRTH – “NEW ORLEANS”

Errth is a Philly/NJ punk band with current and former members of Aspiga, Public Serpents, Reunions, and Seeing Snakes, and their self-titled debut album comes out on March 7 via Uncle Style Records. If you’re into fast, melodic stuff like Lifetime and Kid Dynamite, give this a spin.

POLIMÁ WESTCOAST – “LGN” (ft. C.R.O)

Chilean artist Polimá Westcoast has a new album in the works, and he fuses house music with Urbano on new single “LGN.”

JEFF ROSENSTOCK – “SOUNDS GREAT TO ME”

“Sounds Great To Me” is a new ska-punk song that Jeff Rosenstock wrote for Craig of the Creek, and it features Jer Hunter on horns, Kevin Higuchi on drums, and backing vocals from Chris Farren and Laura Stevenson.

KORINE – “IN YOUR EYES”

Philly duo Korine’s second single is a pretty, ’80s-ish synth ballad that would probably sound good coming from a boombox held aloft, but “In Your Eyes” is not a Peter Gabriel cover.

JEFF GOLDBLUM & THE MILDRED SNITZER ORCHESTRA – “THE BEST IS YET TO COME”

Jeff Goldblum is back with his fourth album with his jazz combo The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. It’s titled Still Blooming and will be out April 25 via Verve / Decca. Like the first three, it’s collection of standards and there are a number of special guest vocalists on the album, including Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson (featured here), his Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, and Maiya Sykes.

TOBIN SPROUT WITH BEVIL WEBB – “POP DE DADA”

Former Guided by Voices guitarist and vocalist Tobin Sprout is back with a new four-song EP that will be out February 10 and this is the first single.
